Jeannette Prandi Children’s Center is a child-friendly multidisciplinary interview center for assessing incidents of childhood victimization. The agencies involved include Family Service Agency of Marin, Marin County District Attorney’s Office, Marin County Police Chiefs’ Association, Marin County Health and Human Services, Marin Advocates for Children.
When there have been allegations of child physical or sexual abuse, multiple agencies need to conduct a thorough investigation. Prior to JPCC, Marin County children were interviewed separately by as many as six different agencies, often adding to their trauma.
Since its establishment in 2000, the Jeannette Prandi Children’s Center has provided a child-friendly, safe, and confidential environment where children are interviewed by one member of a specially trained team.
